The great adventure of missions is the opportunity to serve our fellow man with the healing touch of chiropractic and the message of hope through Jesus anywhere in the world. This mission is not taken lightly so we continually speak and serve on a local, national and international basis.
Locally, Dr. Mark pours into the Lawrence, KS community through ongoing work with/and support of charitable and non-profit organizations like Toys for Tots, Just Food, The Pregnancy Care Center and First Step at Lakeview . Active involvement with the University of Kansas Lied Center and Club Sports Teams, Lawrence Public Schools, Body Boutique Women's Fitness and Lawrence Heights Christian Church also provide many opportunities to serve the local community.
In addition, Dr. Mark has provided chiropractic care for a number of national and international touring artists and bands, including Dave Matthews Band, Jeremy Camp, Chris Tomlin, Toby Mac, Kari Jobe, Hillsong, Brandon Heath, Mandisa, LeCrae, Tenth Avenue North, Building 429, For King and Country and the Winter Jam Tour. He enjoys providing care for Christian recording artists and even coordinating ongoing care for tours as they travel throughout the country. He has also provided care for theater productions like Hairspray and game show productions like Wheel of Fortune LIVE!
One of Dr. Mark’s great blessings as a chiropractor though, is working in international missions and providing hope and healing to tens of thousands of people in need. His work with Epik Missions has taken him to Guatemala (Central America), Ghana (West Africa) and Uganda (Africa). The team of Chiropractors, Chiropractic students, Pastors and laypeople serve people in desperate need with their own, unique form of care addressing a broad scope of healing issues.
The response to Chiropractic care from the indigenous people has been nothing short of remarkable. On average, more than 10,000 people are educated on the chiropractic lifestyle and receive adjustments on each trip with a team of eight to ten members over a ten-day period.
The results are undeniable. Chiropractic works! And, it works especially well when people are ready to receive a message of hope and healing adjustment, with no preconceptions or distractions. Of course, the members of the team change as well. Most of them would argue that they get back so much more than what they gave.
In preparation for his 2014 trip to Uganda, Dr. Mark adopted "Mission Fridays" in order to create awareness of their efforts internationally, and to raise support for the missions team.
Interestingly, this local effort to raise funds and awareness for international missions has sparked opportunities for Dr. Mark to continue Mission Fridays and serve out in the local/surrounding communities on a monthly basis. Donated funds directly support these international missions: Sixty Feet, Project Lydia, First Step, The Pregnancy Care Center and Africa Inland Mission. Please donate to Mission Fridays in order to support both local and international efforts, or spread the word to your friends, family and networks if you would like to join them.
Credit/debit cards or PayPal can be used for donations.
